Ed, the global reinsurance, wholesale and specialty broker, today announced the appointments of James Francis and Laura Baird to its actuarial team.
Francis brings more than a decade of industry experience to Ed, particularly in the areas of capital modelling, reinsurance analytics, as well as expertise in M&A and Solvency II matters. He joins from Argo Group where he served as the Head of Group Capital Modelling, after having worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte. In this role Francis will further build upon Ed’s actuarial capabilities as part of its commitment to providing expert bespoke advice to Ed’s clients, principally in the areas of risk transfer and capital management
Baird joins from AmTrust where she served as an actuarial analyst, as well as previous roles with Allied World and Travelers – a 7-year career which has seen her
specialise in reinsurance pricing and parameterising of capital models. She will further build upon the analytics capability at Ed, so adding value to clients beyond traditional broking services.
